Books and magazines on shamanism; ceremony; earth based spirituality; mythology and ancient stories; healing; crystals; indigenous arts and crafts; archeology; anthropology; plant medicine; related fiction…..

We are happy to offer this resource to anyone who is interested in and/or practising any of the above. The Hartwell Library has come into being because we know how expensive it is to buy all the books one would like to explore and how impossible it is to resource them from conventional libraries.

The Hartwell Library has over 450 books and many magazines and is growing daily. For example, Richard Beaumont, founder of Kindred Spirit has just donated virtually a complete set of back copies and we have all of Sacred Hoop .

There are many interesting, informative and beautiful books in the Hartwell Library. Some are out of print and therefore difficult to obtain, or indeed replace. A few are too big, or precious, to send out and therefore are for reference only.

The Hartwell Library is a non-profit-making resource, funded by membership subscriptions and donations. Membership subscription is normally £20 per annum, but during the following six months until the end of July 2006, we are offering an introductory year's subscription for £17. This includes postage and packing for your first four books if you live too far away to visit.

For a current booklist, email your request to cathy.shea@virgin.net or send a large SAE to Cathy Shea, 3 Cockram Court, Medgbury Road, Swindon, Wilts. SN1 2AE. For all other enquiries, email Cathy (see above) or phone her on 01793 422654.

We hope that these books will help sow the seed corn of ancient wisdom and support all our endeavours as we struggle to remember who we are and to walk with gratitude upon this beautiful earth.
